Former ford guy, which is bank 2?
#1
had a code of bank 2 lean, which side is it? my truck is a 2006 silverado cc 5.3.
also possibilities as to what would make only one bank lean? a friend told me the last injector on one side is bad to get clogged up with dirt/crud/junk/whatever, any truth?

On a "V" engine Bank 1 is the bank that includes cylinder #1. Bank 2 is the bank that includes cylinder #2 On Chevy engines Bank 1 is the drivers side (Left side). On a "V" engine one cylinder head is always offset from the other side by the width of a connecting rod. The cylinder head that is the farthest forward is Bank 1. There are a lot of different engines in the world, so there may be some exceptions to this but, every engine I have ever worked on is like this.

Bank 1 is always the bank with the furthest most cylinder. Plain and simple. As stated Bank 2 is pass side on GM. As far as you running lean on Bank 2 the exact code, mods, miles and condition of the truck would help in the diag. We got alot of things at diff rpm/tps... Maf,Map,IAC,Tps,02's,coolant temp etc that all control fueling
First thing you would need to see what your fuel trims are at. When are they adding fuel to make the corection... Idle, part throttle, load etc..
Being its just bank 2.. First thing i would do is hookup a scan tool and look at stft and ltft on bolth banks. Your going to see +16 - +20 if your throwing a lean code on bank 2 for sure. I suspect intake leak on bank 2, but thats just a guess. You could hit Bank 2 side of intake with carb/brake clean and see if your stft start to go -neg. Your going to be looking for a big change not just a few points.. Thats your leak.. if it stays the same I would look at 02 and a good scantool can do a injector balance test to rule that out.. but you might need to see a profesional for that.
Good luck
