Default Electric throttle control

I have a 2003 GMC which has the electric throttle control I just wanted to know by programing the PCM can you get rid of the lag that system has. What I mean by lag is that sometime I step on it and the truck takes off like I want it to instant response but some other times at the same MPH is picks up slowly which I so not like. I just wanted to know if like the Diablo or Hypertech programers get rid of this lag.

Yes, you are able to get rid of Torque Management (AKA Lag) by reprogramming the PCM. But not all programmers can do this. I know for a fact that Hypertech will not get rid of TM. I believe Diablo will remove some, not positive on how much and which tables of TM, since there are multiple tables that TM uses.
Try doing some searches, this has been discussed a lot before.

Also you could get a mail order custom tune to get rid of it as well, plus other things.

It will never "feel" like a cable operated throttle. There will always be a little bit of "disconnection" in the response. You'll get used to it, but it'll always seem a little weird.

Taking out TM will help the truck be more responsive but will not cure the ever so slight throttle lag.

I honestly can't tell a difference between my 99' and 03' throttle response.

I'v been seeing these basiclly box with a resistor in it on the net which you put on the IAT sensor to tell the PCM the air is at 54 degrees do those things work. Whats the pros and cons of this mod?
