Default Electric Fans, AD244 Alternator - What size belt is needed?

Finally got all the pieces for my electric fan install in along with an AD244 alternator, What size belt do i need? (2000 Silverado 5.3)

Stock belt size unless the alt has a bigger or smaller then stock pulley.

If its the 145 alt you def need a longer belt. Pulley sits higher up.

I don't know what an AD244 alternator is, but with the larger case alternator I was able to reuse a stock size belt. Some people have gone with one .5" larger.

Ad244 is the larger case alternator. Yes you need a longer belt. Will the oe one work........ sortof but unless it's stretched you put a lot of stress on the bearings and will have the tensioner maxed to get it on. Just grab a belt for an Escalade, Suburban with the AD244 ( 130, 145 or otherwise) or a truck. Or get a belt for any 05+ V8 powered half ton. Guaranteed fit.

You just need a belt that is 1 inch linger the what you have now unless you put a overdrive pully on.
