Default EFILive Flashscan V2 showed up

Well, I went ahead and purchased the V2 upgrade while the discount is going on and it showed up today. It's a nice little unit and when standalone flashing/logging is enabled it will be really sweet. The screen, SD memory card slot, extra analog inputs really are a nice step up over the V1 unit. It also lets you transfer over your used/unused licenses from the V1 unit so you don't have to use up new licenses for vehicles you've already got locked in. I transferred over my used licenses and left 3 unused licenses on the V1 so I can sell it to offset some of the upgrade cost.

Here is a pic to drool over.

I just plug it in every once in a while so I can watch the colorful LED's light up.

For the number of vehicles that you can tune with that LS1 stream it is a very good deal.

Especially considering that for every PCM license you have purchased, around $80 can be applied towards up to 50% of the stream. I'm ending up paying only $1250 additional for the stream.

i got to play around with the flashscan v2 at SEMA. it sure is a pretty neat gadget. I personally use HPTuners, but the flashscan v2 is a fine piece of work. have fun tuning with it

Currently, yes you will need a laptop, but the V2 will support stand alone reading, flashing, and logging in the near future, so you could do all your tuning with a desk top if needed. EFILive is a complete, custom tuning software suite, not just a down-loader like Hypertech. I believe the discounted retail on it is $749 for the next week or 2, then it will be $849.

XLR8NSS, you SUCK, lol j/k. Mine will be here Tuesday as well. I can't wait!

Yep, right now it is only useable as a pass through device so you still need a laptop but, in the near future new firmware will be available to upgrade it to a true standalone scanner/flasher/reader.

KB - I was amazed it showed up as fast as it did coming from New Zealand.
