I think he may have to open the 60e .tun and then the 80e .tun and do one engine setting at a time seeing the OSs are different OS numbers .
EFILive will not open different OSs in the same windows so no segment swap .
Or he could just jerk out the 5.3L and slap in a 6.0L .

I have a 6L in their. I cant do a segment swap because there is no truck that uses an 80E that runs my OS. I converted to another OS that has a 6L/80e already built into it. I copied every non-transmission table from my current OS to the OS with the 6L/80E and its not working.
The problem is the PCM has 4K or 8K tables in it and efi live/hpt only lets you see a few hundred. Since my stock tune is a flex fuel (FF) tune there are TPS tables that use the FF setting for some of the calibration. Without those FF tables my truck doesnt want to respond. I still have all the sensors that tell the PCM what fuel I'm running and I think they are throwing a **** fit and blocking the TPS. (All guesses)
I have a professional EFI tuner looking at it now. He think it may require a binary code rewrite, as in build from scratch the OS to accept the 80E, as in I cant do it but maybe he can.
If anybody knows where I can fine a 2002, 2500 Suburban that was flex fuel let me know and I will try to get that tune. I dont think it exists.

If you do find one, I might. My local tuner used to use HPT and know uses EFI. If he still has his software we could load the hpt file and then pull it out with efi live and work from there. Also EFILive will open any pre HPT 2.0 tunes saved in .bin format, so most all the tunes on Horist web site can be viewed in efilive.

wait a minute, you said earlier that you were using a 2001 2500HD file, if you get a FF file with a 4l80, then it's gonna be a much newer file that the 2001, and it's gonna have ETC, unlike yours, which by the sound of it you have cable throttle body. So you would have to get a newer FF file with a 6.0 and 4l80, swap your motor settings to it, which the OS is probably not gonna match cause it's much newer. What year is your truck?

Good luck .
Good luck .
This may be enough to force me to switch back to a 65E. No since having an 80E if the truck wont move.
