Default Which ECM should I use?

I am about to ship my ECM out to blackbear for a tune. I have my factory one (2000 year) and I also have a different one that I bought via Wait4Me. If one is newer than the other should I keep the newest one? I heard a long time ago that the 99-00 ecms had some issues and had less memory and were are less desireable than the 2001+ years. I'm going to check the numbers to see if its a newer one but if it is an 2001+ is it in any way better than my original from 2000? I will have to do a crank relarn either way because of the engine swap but just trying to figure out if there is any reason to use one over the other.
