E-fans stay on when cold and A/C not on?

Mine does the same thing. It seems to be a bug in file that HpTuners uses to convert our pin from AC Recirc door to Efan #2.
Over 45 it goes off, under 45 back on, regardless of my min speed settings. I hope they get it worked out soon.
EDIT: LOL I just clicked on the link in your OP and it was my post over there.

I haven't received a file from HPT for pin33 conversion for fan2 so it is something in the stock OS. I thought mine was going off at the set speed but over the past week I have noticed it being very inconsistent. Last night I was cruising at 60mph, fans off, a/c on then all of a sudden the fans came on. The voltage dropped a bit and I could feel the oscillation/vibration from the fans. I am going to send HPT support an email right now as see what they say.

Fan 1 = both on low
Fan 2 = one fan on high (This condition never happens on mine AFAIK)
Fans 1&2 = both on high
Here's what mine does:
Engine cool, below 45mph = fan 1 on
Engine cool, over 45mph = fans off
Engine 190, any speed = fan 1 on
Engine 200, any speed = fans 1&2 on
Since our trucks do not have the advanced AC pressure sensors, those values do nothing in a 2 pin setup AFAIK.
It's probably best to keep fan 1 on below 20-30mph to feed the AC condenser, but I don't like it running all the way up to 45mph.
Also, on my editor, fan 1 enable and disable speed say "V6 only." So they may not actually do anything on our trucks.

The fans work as programmed in my truck granted it has a 2002 pcm/os with a 2bsd converted os. However, the fans funtioned properly according to ECT and speed prior to the SD conversion. May be something with the pre-1MB 411 PCMs?

It's fixed now. I requested the newest beta and I changed the AC Fans disable speed to 32 mph and sure enough they cut off at 32 mph while logging. Also, pin 33 can now be enabled in the VCM Editor instead of having to email them to patch your tune.
I'm guessing that since we don't have a true AC pressure sensor like the newer trucks, the VCM defaults to always think the AC is on so it runs the fan 1 until you hit the ACFDS that you set in the tune.

I am glad the ACFDS worked for you. As you can see in my settings above my ACFDS is set to 35mph same as the F1DS. This is all with the earlier beta. I just got the new beta with the pin 33 switch so I will mess with it to see if it makes a difference. Otherwise I may just be SOL unless I upgrade to a newer 1MB PCM.

Are you still having this issue? I have a similar problem with a 2001 truck and PCM ... fans turn on as soon as key is on on position. I get a ground signal from 42 AND 33. Even weirder I cannot control them with Bidi
