E-85 gas...

The closest station was about 5 miles +/-. I'll have to drive by and see if they sell it any more.
I have a 5.3.
I'll contact my tuner and see what he says about the E-85.

Alright good luck, I made gobs more power or at least it felt like it but i just couldn't keep it in the tank with work being almost 100+ mile round trip a day plus stops i was buring almost a tank a day.

ive argued with a few people over a couple forums about e85, and the bottom line (imo) is unless your willing to run it all the time for power reasons and/or have a system that is capable of switching back and forth its not worth it..
now if you are willing to run it all the time and make some power come back and we can talk..

You guys are getting ripped for that stuff. Its 2.12 a gallon here. I ran it in my stock 5.3 in my 00 with just scaling the injectors down by the percentage of the stoich difference (if that makes any sense) I added a little spark, but I didn't notice any power gain from it. I am going to run it in the turbo truck on the next tank and see if I can make some power with that combo. IMO the only way you will make more power with it is with high compression (11:1 or higher) or some type of FI. The high octane is the main reason you wont make any more power over regular, just like running race fuel in your stock vehicle. But for the price you guys pay and the fact that its tough to find would make that not viable for me. There are tons of stations in my area that sell it.
