Black bear,wheatley,and all these other guys might charge $200 for there tunes but add the stuuf you guys are talking about(switch chips) and the price goes up alot...And the supposed best tuner is Nelson and he gets as much as the Superchips costs and he locks the tunes....

And do you think that second tune is gonna be free???Bet your *** it wont be....

Not to mention installer error.....Ill bet you have a TON of gremlins to work out just because the end user has to do this modification.

Not to mention youll still have 2 GENERIC tunes vs my custom 3 SCT tunes and ill be into it for less money and a more reliable product that has a proven track record than you

Ask the ricers who add piggybacks....just as cheap to add a standalone with more features by the time you get the wb02,bstc,and piggy back ecm....same with Superchips vs this,they will cost the same in the end and 1 will still have more advantages and that is Superchips....

Only way you can knock or deny that is if you are lying to yourself or selling said product,which is it fellas???

BTW,most tuners balk at the SCT stuff because its $7000 not $600-$900 like HPT and EFI Live.....Its like the mechanic using cheap made in Tiawan tools to work on your pride and joy the more expensive Snap on.They both get the work done....

FYI, hpt or efi is less than a grand but in order to tune multiple vehicles each tuning software costs 7K+ for the full suite so its by far not the cheap "tiawan" crap you make it out to be.

To further elaborate, Blackbear charges 175 a tune so even with the cost of two tunes at full price(if he even charges full price for both) plus the chip you are still talking damn near the same and I guarantee you the quality of tune will be better.

Besides the fact that KB is a sponsor to this forum, he is a personal friend and I know he would not sell a product he doesnt believe. Why do you think he tries to help so many people with EFI issues or builds his turbos kits out of sewer pipe?

If you dont like this option fine but there is no need to clutter this thread up with your propaganda. Make a different thread about your Superchips tuner and tell all there is to know about it there, this thread is for dual flash pcms whether they be tuned by efi or hpt. If you post any further in this thread with useless banter it will disappear and so will you.

And dont play the censorship card, make another thread about your tuner so people who are interested in it can read it but this thread is not for your posts about your SCT tunes.

I have spent more time under the hood of a Grand National "tuning" than most of you do here posting!

And just so u guys know how it works:

SCT Tuning software costs $7000 and you have to purchase a VIN credits on every car just like HPT.

VS

HPT and efi live being $600 and paying for the credits on every car you tune.

So it looks like the SCT stuff is at least $5000 more than the other options....As a business man,I wouldnt want to spend the extra money either(they both do the same)Except being ablse to have 3 tunes the customer can switch back and forth between...

 

Dude you're a dick. SCT is a good product. Our local guy uses it to tune fords. It is no way near as good as efi live for gm though. Plust SCT software costs thousands of dollars

 

Then when SCT updates their software you have to pay thousands more dollars for it vs efi and hp you just download the updates

Boy Broke1, you really know how to show you ignorance, If SCT is so good, then why does it have almost NO market share in the GM custom tuning world??? You obvious know NOTHING about actual tuning and your whole defense is "because I say so...". Your making claims on how EVERY ONE is gonna screw up there PCM's installing it ( I found a local electronics guy who will install it for $20, its a simple solder job for him) and tunes and tunners are gonna rape everyone just to use it and you have NO idea about about any of this! Man that cool-aid they give you when you buy SCT must be some good ****! If you want something that compares with your X3, then look at EFILives Autocal Unit. It will be out in a few months and is 10 TIMES better then your POS X3 and from my sources will be CHEAPER! Come back when you learn a thing or two...
