Default Downshift points

Right Now I shift 2-3 at 5900 (bumping it up to 6000). 2nd gear at 6k is 95.3mph. I want it to downshift into 2nd at 85 at WOT. Is this an okay gap between 3/2 downshift and 2/3 shift point?
2nd gear is 85@5400

Currently have 3/2 at 81mph

Same question on my 1>2 2>1. Whats a good spot?
2>1 is 42mph = 5000rpm in 1st
1>2 is 50.7mph @ 6000 Rpm.

Skeptic on increasing the Up points. Those where set with stock cam. Now have 216/220, hardened pushrods, and LS6 Springs

The gap sounds fine. What gears are you running? I'm shifting out of first at about 43 mph or so and 6000 rpm; I think the 2-3 is like 86 or so too.

You will have to play with it to get it the way you like it..
but i would say no less than 10mph before your upshift.
So get to logging and trying.. haha thats the only way i know.
This will help you alot..

Great thanks. My main concern was being too hard on the drivetrain by getting the two points too close to each other. 10mph at least gives me a stopping point.

Thats just my opinion.. Just mess with it until it gets where you like it.. That spreadsheet in that link lets you actually see the difference in your Upshift vs Down shift and part throttle shifts.. its nice.

I know you've wondered about this Bill, but what are yall's opinions on TCC lockup. leave it stock or tweak it a little?
