I think it's the black and tan wires. Just do a search here; I did and found the info in about 5 minutes.
As far as placement goes, ideally in a location that will not get heat soaked.

I know a lot of this has been covered, but I will reiterate with my experience.
I put it as close to the throttle body as possible. Welded a bung in and ran it there. Black and Tan wires out of the MAF. My pigtail didn't come color coded, but the hookup doesn't matter as it is simply measuring resistance.

It is all relevant really. If you put the sensor by the throttle body, and tune for whatever it reads in that spot, in the end, it will all be the same. I'm horrible at explaining things but if you put it by the intercooler, it will read slightly cooler but the air will still heat up the same amount from the intercooler to the cylinder.
So if you're reading knock when the IAT sensor says 150* in the tb location, you'll still see the same knock if you move it to the intercooler but the IAT will read slightly cooler. The only difference is that the IAT will be less likely to heat soak if it isn't really close to the hot engine like Gadgetized was saying.
