pretty easy, throw some timing at it like 7-9° across the whole main spark table pull most of the TM out and play with your PE tables a little

I don't have a tune for the 2007 4.8L yet but I can lend you a hand tuning it. Shouldn't be a problem. I'm more into gas but do diesels on occasion.

I've been tuning LBZs as well.

I'm using HP Tuners.

Basically, eliminate all TM on the engine, depending on what octane you run...start with 4 degrees across the table....93 octane...put 6 in. Adjust your PE fueling and TPS thresold. Also, up your idle spark to around 21-22 degrees. Etc...send me a PM and I can help more. Watch for spark knock/detonation. Some engines don't like as much timing as others but 4 degrees is a good start.

and tell me why would you mess with VE or MAF tables on a truck that only has a CAI, use the PE table to lean it out at WOT......now on a truck like mine that actually has mods done to it yes i would say mess with the VE and MAF tables

Huh, are you serious, why wouldn't you? So your saying the factory fueling portion of the tune is accurate and correct? I own a 4.8 and I have tuned it from bone stock till now...

and i have tuned my 6.0 and have a 5,400lb truck that runs 7.5's all day long and takes a 200 and has been on a 250 shot for the past 30,000 miles and all on the stock block.....

What's your point?
