Default Is a custom tune or handheld better for me?

As the title says, I want opinions. I had a W4M tune on my 03 and was quite happy with the set-up I chose. Now I'm debating on how to go with my 06. I've been looking at the Predator Diablo and it seems to do what I'm interested in, i.e-TM removal, shift firmness, rev limiter, shift points, etc. How will going with a tune from W4M, Nelson, or Westers differ? I like the idea of a handheld because I can play with it. And no, I don't want to go with HP tuners or EFI live because I don't want to have to get a laptop. Thanks.

Custom tunes are the best thing in the world. Only thing is if you need to change anything it would be slightly expensive and difficult. Ex:going from towing mode to performance mode to economy mode is impossible with a custom tune. But eveybody's different. As for me, I already have a laptop and I am going to buy hptuners. Then have two or three different tunes built for me so I can change back and forth if needed.

You know the ol' saying...."diffrent strokes for diffrent folks"......so only you can decide what's best for you.

As far as the better functionality and quality of a program....then by far the custom tune, dyno or street tune or mail order tune is miles ahead of a programmer. When I first got into performance-modding my trucks and cars a few years ago....I had a Diablosport programmer (it's now a dust covered code scanner).....but I tuned with it....and was not happy with the whole 9 horsepower it added...(yes I dyno'd after the tune).

So I contacted Allen @ NelsonPerformance.com and his tune put down 3 times more HP, and a lot better functionality and drivable fun!

westers aint a sponsor so no one will tell you to go to him but the other 2 (w4m & nelson) are a much better route to go i wish i had never purchased a Hypercrap PP3 go mail order if there is no reputable dyno tuners in yur area.
