i have never seen an intake gasket leak on the LS motors. What did your Trims look like? The PCM can adjust the Trims up to 25% IIRC but if you were already on the far end of the adjustment, any cold weather could throw the code since the air is much more dense and it takes more fuel with denser air. If it cant adjust that far, bam.. youll get a code.

i ve had the intake leak on a few of the truck motors. one would only leak when the motor was cold and would quit after it warmed up aluminum expands when you first start it spray some carb cleaner around the intake base youll know if it sucks some up.

yea take some carb cleaner/ ether/ or somthing of that nature and spray around the gasket area and see if it revs up... ive seen a couple of them leaking and they are usually small leaks

Ive never seen one leak.. same for the LS1/6s. Its a rubber gasket. Not saying it couldnt somehow, but even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.

99-02's were notorious about intake gaskets going bad. A girl I worked with had an 03 that went bad.

Well thats crappy then. My 04 has over 200k and no problems (knocks on wood now).

They were bad on my '00 4.8L Silverado and a lot of people on other forums had theirs go bad.
