If it idled rough when cold out and got a lean code that's normally a sign of an intake gasket leak as scooter said.
If it's running fine i'm not really sure unless it's just a really small leak.

How cold are you talking about? It's -10F here today, no lean codes, and I'm running my speed density tune that I "tuned" last summer. So far it's been running just fine as low as -20F. I drive my truck every day that it doesn't have a broken transmission.

Being from Florida, cold here is 40F. Truck seems to be running fine just threw some codes.

Just used my extreme example to show you that I don't believe the "cold weather" is the reason for the lean condition. It's likely lean for another reason, like intake gaskets, fuel delivery, or bad/dirty MAF if you're running one.
