Default coil relocation?

Is there any major performance issues with relocating the coils? I know the closer the coils are to the plugs the more efficient they are but will moving them cause any issues in a high horse power application?

Nope. Stock wires are roughly 950ohms per foot, most aftermarket wires are 50ohms or better, so essentially a stock wire is equivalent to a 19 foot long aftermarket wire.

the only "bad" part is you cant buy off the shelf wires and usually have to make your own (MSD has a kit or you can piece one together). But the engines do look a bit better with the coils hidden out of plain view. I ended up shaving the mounting bosses off my valve covers and painting them.

I wish I thought of shaving the valve covers before I painted them. That would look a lot nicer. Where did you end up putting the coils?
