You get it from GM? Is it new?

 

Remanned BUT yes from GM. Warranty n all. It’s a guy I know sold it a hair above cost with the 3 year, 100k warranty. Service manager said it’s gotta be pulled (as I installed it), and inspected by a GM tech. Then, they replace what’s wrong or the whole trans. I’m just reaching out here to make sure I’m not losing my mind or just missed something or can do something before I remove it...again.

 

Make sure the round connector in the transmission has 15 pins and not 13.

 

Yep. First thing I checked before installation was that it was a tan connector instead of green and also that it had all the pins.

 

I know it's not my thread however, wanted to give some closure on this issue. I took the trans back to the dealership, one of their techs opened it up and the input speed sensor behind the pump had a wire that was pinched and grounding the sensor. Unfortunately, this has happened enough that there's a writeup about it.
