Default code P0717 and..

truck runs fine. but its throwing the P0717 (input turbine speed sensor no signal)... lets say in in R or D.... and i try to foot brake it, it just wont do it, not even a chirp. it will act as if it has a 2 step on it spits and sputters, but one i let my foot off the brake it will burn em down

does this weirdness have anything to do with this sensor malfunctioning?... i had my pump replaced and it doesnt have the sensor in it

I'm going to guess that the sensor not being there is causing the spitting and sputtering...

Didn’t want to start a new thread.

2008 avalanche. GM factory remanufactured transmission with warranty. 0 miles. Getting 0 RPM in the ISS. 12volts to the trans. No blown fuses.

before I pull this trans. Anything I’m missing or haven’t done? Truck is now back to stock. Factory trans tune and everything.

You mean VSS right?

Pull the sensor and see if the tone ring is there. If not, That’s your issue.

No, I mean ISS. 2007.5 and up SOME came with an internal speed sensor in the pump and a output speed sensor. The trans I took out, the original trans has one. Last test to do is the pin out on the one installed. The one I took out was 4ohm. So at least I know it’s there.
