Default Cluster/Tach programming

Is there a way I can program a V6 cluster (tach) to work with LQ4 PCM

I am wrapping up a LQ4 swap into a 92 k1500 5 speed. Put in a 96 dash, and picked up a cluster from an 06 Silverado 4.3.

Everything works (except for volt meter) but the tach is reading fast. Looking for 3 pulses per rev vs 4...

Can I reprogram my own cluster to use the V8 tach signal?

Motor/PCM are '03 LQ4. Tach signal is coming from C2 pin 10.

Program the PCM to output the number of pulses that your cluster requires. My 96 dash required me to change the PCM to 4. Works perfectly.
