Default Cheap Scanner for ABS Bleed?

I am looking to get an economically priced scanner primarily for doing an ABS bleed on the 2000. I also have stabilitrak codes on the 2012 so being able to read those and doing a TPMS relearn would also be a plus. A search turns up options from Autel, Innova, Zurich and Foxwell all under $200. Just wondering who has experience with these or any others worth looking into.

I've got the higher-end Innova from AAP and it doesn't do any of that. A lot of them say the did ABS, airbag, etc. and they don't.

I posted a similar question here a few weeks ago, but haven't decided yet. The MaxiCom now does TPMS apparently, and has bi-directional capability, but it's like $650. Pine Hollow Diagnostics on YT did a comparison of the MaxiPro and MaxiCom.

But just yesterday I saw Eric at Advanced Level Diagnostics use a much cheaper handheld scanner that he said was full feature bi-directional specific for GM vehicles. I don't know if that one does TPMS though. I can post the videos if you'd like. I think it's like $230 or so?

Otherwise get whichever scanner and get the Autel specific TPMS scanner kit that has new sensors. I think that's the route I may take. But that's another $250-ish...😞

I have the $475 Autel MK808 and it has been good so far. I have not tried doing an ABS bleed but I am able to bidirectionally control my Silverado and Sierra without any hiccups. I really like it. My girl's dad only uses this scanner at his shop and he is the one that put me onto it.

The only thing that I wish it had is a built in oscilloscope like the Solus does.

So I jumped down the Autel rabbit hole today with their hundred different model numbers. Apparently the Maxicheck MK808 and Maxicom MX808 are the same units for online/offline sales. Then the BT suffixes add Bluetooth and TS adds full TPMS functionality. I have not figured out what the S and Z suffixes are on these models. The MP808 is the same as the MK/MX TS models. It seems the cheaper handheld MD806 will do the ABS and SAS functions but lacks actual bi-directional control and will not work on vehicles post-2015. The extra functions of the MK/MX models and other benefits of the tablet make the higher price tag worthwhile. So as of now, I am leaning toward the MX/MK808 with the MV108 inspection camera.

I did look at some other offerings from Foxwell and xTool which got some good reviews but neither had models at the same price point that matched the functionality of the Autel.

@shakenfake One thing I didn't confirm today about the MK808, does the Autel diagnostic OS have an integrated web browser or can you back out of the Autel OS to use regular android apps?

Integrated web browser meaning in the diagnostic application itself? I am unsure

BUT yes you can back out and access regular android apps like google chrome etc. I am sure you can download apps as well but I have not tried.

Also from what I can see the MK808 regular does TPMS. It says that it does on my unit at least.

It should do basic TPMS functions but advanced functions such as new sensor activation will require the TS or MP models.

Good to know it can be used as a regular Android tablet. Another check in the Pro column.
