We are ready for a preliminary report. I can't wait for you to average several tankfuls.

I've been driving my dads 06 duramax the last couple of weeks trying to get some fuel mileage and power out of it. I finally got back in mine yesturday and it had a mix of city and highway driving and when I filled it up showed the usual 14.5 mpg. I need to datalog it and see what its actually doing. It should be doing really good since its able to hold 70 mph just barely cracking the throttle open. Its a month off but around the end of september I have to go back to school for a day and its 240 miles each way all highway and I'm planning on driving the 99 then.

Its time to revisit this. After getting a few tanks through it I've still been in that consistent 15 mpg range. I finally started data logging and come to find out although all EGR functions are there and its set to enable I still am not getting any added timing and as near as I can tell its just not working. I've got this feeling that although the options and tables exist in the 02 OS the fact that a 2002 never had EGR makes me think the code isn't actually there for it. Near as I can tell the only difference between the 01 and 02 OS is the EGR stuff I'm going to try a version of the 01 OS and see if I can't get my EGR working. Sound good?

Log EGR volts, and see if the valve is moving any.
