Does anyone see anything that might be off? My tuner thinks that it might be a tooth off but we lined it up the same as the writeup says... The mods are efans, tb bypass, volante cai, tr220 112 lsa, yank3200, transgo hd2, obx headers and magnaflow muffler. He said it isn't pullin the amount of air that it should be ? An help is much appreciated

not trying to be a dick here, but i think you would be surprised how well a decent tuned truck running a tooth off would be, wouldnt be straight shitty like you said(just not quite up to full power like your having). I know you guys are sure its not off, but **** does happen and going back in too look does two things. Either find out it is and fixes your problem, or eliminates that for sure and can move on to what else is might be. Im guessing you or your tuner checked for vacuum leaks?

I really don't think the cam is off a tooth. We spent 30 minutes making sure it was right, and it looks just like the picture on ls1howto.

Did some new logs. Seems the LTFTs were all over the place. On my truck, they never go higher than about 3, where as his go to 10.

And when cruising, bank 1 LTFTs stay around .8, where as bank 2 are at about 5.

Overall it seems to be running alot better, but needs alot higher shift points and seems that it's running too rich throughout the RPM range.

Opinions?

We are probably giving the impression that the truck is a complete dud, it's not. We were just expecting it to be faster than my truck.

I think that if the cam were off, it would be much slower than it is. As it stands now, he's about a truck length to a truck and a half slower. Seems this much difference can be made up easily in the tune.

what all did you install at the time of the cam? headers or mess with any induction stuff? with you describing it more to be a half truck length slower than your cammed truck it could be the tune, or something simple like weight difference between you two, or even expecting too much, hard to tell over the internet with people describing stuff differently. but with + ltft id be looking for added air getting in somewhere, or tune needs dialed in more.

Nothing was changed except the cam and springs. Headers were already on.

Truck and a half slower than mine, maybe even two.

When I was cammed without headers and him with headers without cam, we were dead even. After I added headers, I was about 3-4 trucks ahead, and now with him being cammed he only made up about half the distance..We were both expecting to be even again seeing as how cam and headers usually give about the same gains.

And I agree completely, it's hard to accurately describe things over the internet.

He should be getting a retune pretty soon, so we will see if there's any difference.
