i traded my tbss in on a 2012 gmc 6.2 ccsb 4x4 truck. I have HPtuners now but was wondering which tuner is better for theses trucks a bbtune with efi live a diablo custom tune. or a tuner in MD which i just moved too so I dont know of any tuners around here that use HPtuners.

Hp tuners or efi live make no difference on the power you can make or tune-ability. As far as using a handheld programmer vs a blackbear tune or wheatley nelson etc. Blackbear or either of the other would be far better than a handheld tuner. Only step up from that is an in person dyno tune. Hope that helps.

 

Thats really a generic question.

They're all going to net you a gain over stock.

With BB he we update the tune based on the logs you send him.

The Diablo intune is the same way, you work with a Diablo licensed tuner and send him data logs from your truck for a custom tune.

I don't know who the tuner is in MD or if he is any good. If he is then you will get a personalised tune in person that you should be happy with.

You may want to consider what each person has to offer over the lifetime of your vehicle. Some offer free returns for small mods.

I believe Nelson and possibly Wheatley also do mail order tuning services using HP tuners software.
