Default BCM help

I was considering uprgrading my 99 bcm to an 02. I want to be able to use the override button to turn off the lights as well as program my locks to open when I put the truck in park. I searched the forums and people had thought about this, but I couldn't find anyone who has done it. Is there any issues I should be aware of before buying the bcm? Has anyone else done this?

Not too sure about it being able to lock your doors when it goes into park or have the overide function.
I do know that when you change out your BCM module you will have to have the pcm reprogrammed to accept the new BCM module. Even if it is a new 99 BCM module the pcm still has to be reprogrammed. If you do not, the truck will not start at all. Nor will other functions work. The BCM module is linked with your anti-theft system.
I learned the hard way when I changed out a bad BCM module on my previous 2000 Silverado.

like the above is stated, however with HP Tuners you can relink the BCM with a couple clicks of the mouse - now whether it's gonna do what you want is another thing
