Have you cleaned the MAF of the K&N spooge? That can
make lean mixture plus excess timing. Are you doing any
sort of scanning / logging? Looking for knock retard?

im a tech at a GM truck dealer

we have had plenty of people coming in with hesitation, stalling, and fuel economy issues with K&N- or any type of gauze oiled filters, most of the time when i clean the MAF sensor- or replace it- and switch them back to the stock paper air filter the problem goes away.

the oil coating the wires in the MAF sensor give it a false reading making the fuel trim go wackey

what do you mean in one spot?

was it the long term or short term?

was it in the positive or negative?

Mine is still acting up after cleaning the MAF, and all of the listed work from a few weeks ago.

Got a new one, my EGR tube that runs into the side of the intake manifold is cracked and it seems like there is a small amount of vacuum leaking out. Gonna replace that and we'll see...

I'm in over $1000 in this so far and that's after taking it in to the shop for diagnosis.

Any input is appreciated
