Backfire

Default Backfire

I started my o5 silverado this morning and heard a real slight backfire. Only does it on a cold start. Still runs like a champ. What do you guys think???

Airaid Cai with tb spacer , 3" dual exhaust , Wheatley performance toon , just bolt ons.

Yeah miss fire is normally spark related if it's not boosted, id replace the plugs and wires, the check for weak coil, then talk to your tuner

Hmmm. Check coils? Maybe volt/amp meter or do they make a tool ? If volt/amp meter what would be specs ?

my truck had a slight hesitation and a backfire when it was cold. Its was due to a lean condition from sticky injectors.... i replaced the injectors and it runs better than ever now. you could always get the fuel system serviced or take it to a shop to get a diagnostic run on it to see whats going on.

Good info. Thanks. No cel and my diablo data isn't catchn it on initial start. All data seems normal. I dunno. Maybe it's time for serria Denali 6.2. Don't think it's time for those high payments tho. Did you replace the injectors with stock 1 or aftermarket higher lbs 1s
