I picked up an AEM wideband from BlackGMC and I'm trying to see how I can determine if it can simulate the front 02's or not.
I'm wanting to just install it into the front 02 holes so I don't have to drill. If it's in the manual it's worded to where I didn't understand it. Anything specific I should look for?

sorry. I'm wanting to just unhook a front 02 sensor and plug the wideband in using that hole. Instead of drilling a new hole. How do i know if it can simulate the front 02's?

i don't think you can? The front O2's are necessary for operation, unless you are running OLSD all time? The rears on the other hand....

Just have a bung welded in.

The front narrowbands operate off of 0 to 1 volt readings, not zero to 5 volts like the wideband. I believe one of the innovative widebands are capable of the switching. Not sure which. Does the AEM have narrowband switching option?

I think my wideband commander can output a 0-1 signal. You'll have to check the outputs.

I think the plx unit, just thouws a resistor into the wiring. Might be something to look into. IF thats right, no need for an output on the controller itself

I replaced the stock 02 in mine 2 years ago with a WB. The Innovate LC1 simulates NB and the PLX I currently have does also. No resistor needed for narrow band simulation. Just filters out some feedback/noise that isn't an issue in my case. Don't know about the OP's unit. I'm not far away from replacing the passenger side o2 with another PLX and using the DM100 controller to view and log both banks. Yeah I'm a sucker for abuse I've read several places the WB's switch much faster and even simulate NB better than the NB's.

Edit: Also had to tune out heater codes and such for the narrow band o2 I removed.
