Simple concept, but difficult explanation lol. That's sort of a best practice item for situations you haven't or can't calibrate for, ie poor control of transient fueling or holes in a VE surface. It will prevent carrying unnecessary correction into your open loop boost range.

Almost all FI guys disable LTFTs just because they can affect fueling over time.

You won't hurt anything by doing it and it'll probably run better.

Think of STFTs as what's happening at that moment.
