96-97 Chevy silverado tuning issue.
Hey guys, new here on PT. I have a question on my 97 Chevy silverado 350 sbc vortec. I had to do a rebuild on the 350, and I ended up doing some performance parts so I got a valvetrain upgrade by comp cam hydraulic roller cam (duration lift .50 224/230 valve lift is 0.503/0.51 and 112 on the lsa). polished heads, high volume oil pump, headers 2.5in on the headers and 3in on the exhaust and couple of other small upgrades. I also did a 2400 stall by B&M, servo from Oregon performance transmissions. I got my cam and crank corralations done, so my timings good. My problem is I need to tune it but I can not find nobody to tune 96-97. The tuners that I have asked do not have the software to tune 96-97s. It is running real rich, I havnt drove it very much because of that. Is there any way I can atleast mess with my air/fuel ratios so it won't run to rich or if theres any tuners out ther that can maby help me out I would highly appreciate your help. Thanks!

How is it running rich? Fuel smell idling? Do you have a wide band O2 installed? In closed loop the O2 sensors will trim the A/F to 14.7:1. Fuel smell idling is because of the overlap that cam has. There is a good chance you are going to be out of injector at higher rpms with no way to easily go with bigger injectors. Find someone with Tunercat OBD2 to tune it. They support the 96-97 trucks.
