Default 6L80 6.2 WOT TCC lockup

In stock form does the converter lock under wot. (sorry for long read)

Say in the instance of a 65 roll then go to to WOT letting the tcm shift at WOT shift points until 6th gear while heading towards 100+ at some point in there does it lock the converter?

I had my tuner set the TCC to stay unlocked under WOT and it eliminated a really nasty double bump I was feeling after you nail it and it would almost instantly just slam the converter on after making the downshift.

BUT tonight I think I discovered a downside to my logic of not locking the converter under WOT if in fact it is set up to do so in factory form. I got in a bad situation where I just flat *** had to out run some crazy dipshit after I passed them they blew a fuse and freaked out.

I nailed it from a 65 roll and it shifted on WOT shift points dropped in to 6th gear and just held it down in the past it would pull to 120 no problem in what seemed like blink of an eye tonight it just flat hit a wall at 110 and sloooowly pulled to 115 it sounded labored and the trans temp gained almost 30 degrees in no time. My thoughts are the converter was slipping excessively under WOT due to not being locked.
Anyone have thoughts and ideas I'm all ears.

I just looked quickly at a 20011 6 speed TCM cal and it appears that the TCC doesnt apply at WOT in gears 1-4, but does in 5th and 6th, but in 5th the apply speed is 124mph and 6th is 174mph, I dont know if the cal I am looking at is a stock cal or not.

peace

Waaaaayy better after the tune. I still have to have them work on the 5,6 WOT TCC lockup but def better.

I love the borla has a really throaty tone at idle and barks when you get on it. Resonator is there but I welded the siphon tube shult inside of it making it act like it's not there. I was kinda disappointed when I put the magnaflow on it the day after I bought the truck it was little louder than stock but not one person could tell I took off the stocker.
