Default 6.0 swap wiring/ computer

Yes I've searched but not finding much about DBC 6.0/4l80 swap.
I'm swapping a 6.0 w\ a tbss and 90mm TB, 4l80, into an 01 tahoe. So I figured the easiest route was to put a DBC TB. However, the motor and tranny comes out of and 05 2500HD which is DBW.

Will the 2500 Harness and ECM work with the DBC TB, or can I use the 5.3 Harness modify it and 5.3 ECM with a reflash to run the 4L80. I have both harnesses and both ecms.

thanks but I have the harnesses for a 2500 6.0\4l80 and 5.3\4/60.

I think the easiest is going to be re-wiring the 5.3\4/60 harness

But I'm still not clear on the computer. I believe the computer for the 5.3/4/60 will run the 4/80 but not sure.

if the 5.3 harness is dbc then I think that would be best IMO because it has the wiring for IAC that the 05 harness will not have and you will have to add wires for the 4l80 and have the ecm tuned to control I believe

keep the DBW harness with the DBW TB, it will be much easier in the long run.

You say easier in the long run are you referring to is buying a xlink and tb and not having to rewire for the transmission. Or is there some other benefit?

You need to change the pedal to a DBW as well, and you also have more resolution in the DBC pcm if you ever go to speed density. Changing for the 80e is very simple on either one.

This will clear up the DBW and the DBC per PCM

The 5.3L drive by cable harness can be re-wired to run the 4l80E. You will have to change the the parameters within the ECU for the larger engine, larger TB, and transmission swap. You will also need a larger aftermarket TB that will bolt up to the TBSS intake.

The 05 6.0 harness can be used with a 1MB PCM and a DBC TB but you will need the correct calibration to run a cable throttle body. You will also have to rewire for the cable throttle body connectors since they are different from the DBW connector.

Either way you will have to Re flash the ECU for the larger throtle body.

CalEditor is very knowledgeable on PCM calibrations. I am sure he can help you get what you need for your swap.
