its cool, so when it comes to water pump and cooling routing i think i did a few things different than others have. some tap the manifold, i took out a plug on the side and used it instead. i'll see if i can get pics to post up so you can see.

so this thing is running a touch better but not really. it logs lean as in positive 20's for fuel trims. but the spark plugs are black as coal and it smells rich. whats the deal. as it warms up it starts to clatter also. not sure if the lifters are not working right or what. called comp and i have the push rods they recommend.

should have the same problem. i think its somewhere else. but as far as the intake let me help you out abit. for the brakes you can remove the plug on the right front side and it goes straight to the plenum. also the other plug on the upper front right can be used for coolant bypass instead of drilling holes. just get the piece for the coolant to thread in from napa we took the plug and the hose to napa and they had exactly what we needed. the brake one you can take off the old plenum. also i think you cut the temp sensor from the maf and wire it to the map sensor if you by the plug for the one on the marine mani. if he can fin his sensor thats what i'm gonna do. that way you can have true manifold temp if you go turbo. we didn't drill any holes and he has perfect brakes and the heater works fine.

Your not having split BLM's are you? When I did my marine intake swap I had the injector harness bank for bank.
There may be tiny diffrences in tuning when moving the IAT sensor from the air intake to the manifold when using the marine IAT/MAP combo. MOst guys just use the V6/V8 MAPs ensor with a sleeve or thicker O rings.
ALOWDIME since your swapping soon, here is the V8 bible for ya. Most guys usually drill and tap a hole in the provided boss in the upper intake for power brakes.

Obviously there is more than 1 way to skin a cat. Whatever works right?
it was nice having the marine intake install kit that PECOS(Matt) sells. he converted the thermostat housing to use the stock truck stuff with no mods.

I have already planned to add the larger o ring. That is the website I have been following since day one. Hog, hasnt anyone over there gotten any dyno numbers going from the stock intake to the marine manifold?

ok do what ya'll want. i wasn't going to mention it till i got it running right just because knew i would get that comment. pretty sure vacuum and coolant are not going to cause a problem. if so i would have water in the oil.

I was actually pointing towards cutting into your MAF and using the IAT sensor for your MAP sensor temp. Or whatever that was.
One worry I have had was making sure I get the injectors wired in the correct series and to the correct cylinder.
