So lately I've been having problems with my truck. I put the key in the door and the dome light doesn't come on. I look on the dash and my turn signals indicators are on and so is my check engine light. I put the key in the ignition, turn it and the truck starts but dies right away. When I pull the key out of the ignition the throttle body starts fluttering and the ignition relay starts going crazy. This only happens when it's really cold. I Hooked up a scanner to it and I got a code for ecu malfunction. I don't remember the exact code off the top of my head but when I looked up the code it said internal problem no external solution. I also got codes for my tps.

Has anybody ever experienced this problem? How could my ecu have gone out? And will replacing this solve my issue.

It has left me stranded 3 times now. i really need to get this problem solved. Thanks

I know this sounds stupid, but is your battery and alternator in good shape?

Tested alternator, battery, and starter everything was good
