2002 gmc sierra starting issues
My truck did not want to start yesterday , when i turn the key to start the truck the truck give me nothing no noise no click, battery has 12 volts, if you try to start it a few time it will finally start, im thinking it could be thr passlock system? Im reading thats changing the ignition switch and cylinder can solve this? Also the truck has a aftermarket alarm system with remote starter. Any help or advice is appreciated before i start buying a few parts. Also the truck started 3 times this morning no issues

I would get a DMM on the battery when you crank it over, if it drops super fast then it's bad.
I would also clean any main grounds and wires going to the starter.
But it also could be something weird with aftermarket alarms, exactly why I hate them.

Any updates? I have had the same issue (I think). All lights come on but nothing happens when you turn the key. I've tried swapping relays, fuses, checked connections etc. I have noticed that it only does it when hot.
