Wiring question...
Not sure where to put this but here goes....
My father-n-law just bought a new 2007 Dodge 2500 with the 5.9l cummins. He's getting a 5th wheel hitch installed by a trailer place and they were afraid to hook up the wiring for the lights in the bed of the truck. They told him that the newer dodges 06-07 had some kind of circuit board (brake lights) that runs $800 and wanted him to sign a waiver just incase they fried it trying to installing the wiring plug for the 6-pin connector.
Is there any truth in this? He drove it to the dealer and they wouldn't give him a straight answer as to this mystery circuit board. They only said they would hook up the wiring plug for $180.00
Have any of you wired in a plug for a trailer? 2006 or 2007?
Forgive the long post. Had to explain it how it was told to me.
Thanks guys!
