Default think im running lean need ur help

Got my longtubes put on today vs my shortys the paint is coming right of from the exhaust ports like chiping off after a 40 mile drive at 75. I have a scan gauge that tells me what my air fuel is can somebody tell what percent I should be running on drivers side and passenger side. Now I know its suppose to burn some off but it never did on shortys and these are pacesetter painted black. I'm just concerned don't wanna mess anything up

I figured was cheap paint but my shortys were pacesetters and they never did this. Plus I never knew what air fuel trim should be running at guess this should be good excuse to buy hp tuners

From what I've read, scan gauge tells you the commanded AFR not the actual ratio, so it won't help much to determine if you're lean or not. I think you need a wideband for that.

Getting a wideband installed would be your best bet for really dialing it in (tune wise and for keeping an eye on it while driving)

Erica @Nelson was saying they sell the PLX DM-6 combo for right around $200. I thought about going that route, just to make sure things were where they are supposed to be and hopefully to datalog so Nelson can dial in my mail order tune. I won't be doing my own tuning or running any boost, so I'm not sure it's worth it yet, for me.

This is the one I have. You can find it cheaper if you search around
