Default Computer and chips

I have a 99 silverado 5.3 new GEN. Instead of buying an expensive chip can I send my computer to be re programmed for better performance?

You don't have a replaceable chip like the older models do. You would just need your computer reprogrammed through the OBD2 port. Contact one of the vendors on the right side of this page ------>. Belson, Wheatley, or Black Bear tuning.
