Get a dremel and set aside 3-4 hours minimum. Be prepared to compromise the gauge, and the cluster itself. I ended up removing the whole setup and scrapping the cluster and replacing it, after the cluster started malfunctioning... you have to remove so much material off the cluster circuit board that it's not worth it. Ethanol in my state never varied past 78-87% winter or summer so I abandoned the ethanol % gauge altogether and bought a new cluster with trans temp gauge and all new stepper motors.
