Also avoid tire spin as much as possible. It just melts the ice under the tires and make it more slippery. Never slam on the brakes and if you having trouble getting stopped put the vehicle in neutral it really helps to take the power off of the drive wheels.

Ice and wind is a tricky bitch. I've been spun full 180 going 20 mph off of a gust of wind. Just thankful no cars were coming, it would have been nasty.

Yeah, make VERY slight adjustments on snow/ice, and just don't go too fast. Better to get in a few minutes late and have to explain it to your supervisor/manager/boss than to have a wrecked vehicle. Much less paperwork (unless you work for IniTech and have 4 bosses, lol).

I used to build a frame out of 2x4's around the wheel wells in the bed and load that ****** up with some weight when i had 2WD. the frame keeps it in one place so not to blow open your tailgate for instance
