Working behind hack jobs

When I finish working behind some of these hack jobs I sometimes wonder if it could get any worse..then it does.. again and again and again. 2012 45th anniversary camaro SSTexas speed 427 backwoods thrown together th400Several questionable things at first glance.
I'm not the most smartest person in the world but I do know a 58x engine needs a 58x crank sensor.
transmission cooler lines are intriguing
MAF hold down screws are not needed...

Oh, that's bad. Maybe the crank sensor was lack of knowledge (maybe)? The zip ties and transmission cooler lines are obviously not.
My old K3500 had a hack wiring mess at the fuse block when I bought it. I discovered that after driving around and some guy on the street said my brake lights didn't work. Changed the brake light switch and multifunction switch. Then discovered the hacked wiring. Fixed wiring and it worked.
That truck also has a switch on the dash for the horn. I asked the guy at the inspection place and he said it was okay like that for annual inspection. So I let that one ride, LOL. Previous owner was a rancher, and truck was sold to another guy in a lot deal. 🤷
All my other trucks have been 1 or 2 owner, older folks, so I fortunately have not have to deal with much wonky stuff.

Most of the stuff I work on the owners haven't even sprayed them off with a hose before. They have "people" for things like that. I'm one of those people and I'm quite alright with it. Haha
