Anyone have wireless internet? This is the second time I have tried it. Once a year and a half ago, and now today. Problem Im having is after 5~10 minutes of use it takes a
and quits working. Signal is good but looses internet connection. It also screws up my computers so they won't restart, or turn off. The only way to fix it is to unplug the computer and let it reboot. After that it will work fine for another 5-10 min then does it again.
It's also alot slower than my land line connection. Same **** went on when I tried the wireless last year. That was with different computers too. Just wondering if it's even worth ******* with, or should return it? Thank's J

been using wirelss internet for years, and had no problems, used cable and sbc (at&t) both work great.. sounds like you got a lot of conflicts, with computer hard to justify the wireless is keeping your computer from shutting down or restarting, which wireless internet you using? wireless is always gonna be slower than a lan line..

Never have any issues with wireless. I use it at home, at the office, at my GF's place, at both of my parent's places...works flawlessly everywhere. Speed doesn't matter....land line may be capable of 100mpbs and wireless may be limited to 54mpbs but your internet connection is slower than both of those so you shouldn't see any difference unless you're transferring files between two computers on your local network.

I recently got the Verizon Wireless USB internet connection. I like it. Logs on in like 5 seconds, fast and I can take it to any computer. The actual modem is only the size of a memory stick / flash drive and is totally wireless so I take it in my front pocket where ever I go. I brought my laptop with me fishing and was able to log in to a work meeting inbetween casts. Yup, working hard.

Thank's for the input guy's. I spent over 2.5 hours on the phone yesterday with the tech support of which most of that was on hold. We adjusted the settings on the coumputer, etc no luck. Mine is the USB port style also. Seems to work ok on my laptop but for some reason my home computer keeps rejecting it. Looks like Im going to just return the wireless, and keep my land line. I was hoping to be able to get rid of the land line and go wireless but it's not worth the hassle. Im also finding out you need a speical virus protection also for wireless.
