Why men die first!
#11
My wife's close Aunt comes over to the house a while back, she hasn't been here in a while. (Keep in mind, her husband works maint. for GM, works a lot of OT, Keeps her in a brand new loaded out Tahoe/Z71/Trailblazer etc. every 2 years, She hasn't worked in 15+ years, no kids and just spends his money all day and he goes to work OT so she has more to spend) OK, I'm sitting on the couch putting on my shoes to go work OT on midnight shift to help pay for my wife's failing interior decorating store which is her life's dream to do. Well the Aunt pokes her nose around in our small house "sizing it up", she puts her hands on her hips, snurls her at me and says, "You need to buy her a bigger house!"
So, i'm tired from working 80+ hrs a week (for years) on a 12hr swing shift and i'm off to work, boiling about her arrogant comment.
That is why I'll die first.
Oh, and her husband just retired with 30+ years with GM. They sold their $300,000+ home to move back home. Well, after they sold their house all they have is $100,000 to buy a retirement home. Ok, if I worked for GM and made 100-150,000/year for at least the past 15 years and all I have is 2 vehicles, no home, and $100,000 cash. Someone would need to slap me. So of course $100k wasn't enough for her or him to have a home. So he gets a job with Boeing to support their uppity lifestyle. That's what I look forward to in retirement.....more work.
