Talked to a guy the other day and asked him what he had done to his gmc. He had a Tb spacer, tornado, hypertech, and a flowmaster. asked him how it ran and said theres no truck around that can touch it.. i laughed and said i bet not..sorry not quite on subject but it relates to it.

I really don't care . . . I'll answer a few questions and when I have time, I'll do some parts.

but if they keep asking repetitive questions, and don't listen . .. I'll send them a link to the search page.

Boy, you sure seem to have a problem with "south texas". This isn't the 1st or only remark you post about it. Hell, this thread's already screwed up enough, so what's the matter? You can tell us who or what's got you so traumatized from "South Texas" or "RGV" that you always have us on your toughts....

3 and 5 mm LEDs - Ebay Get the ones with the free resistors
pencil soldering iron - low watt $8-$12
use a meter to find the "+" on the board, use the truck body as the ground.
do not buy the push lock LED bulbs, or you'll just end up replacing them 2 months later. Just make your own with the 5mm LEDs and the original twist lock holders.

The LEDs last longer when the have the correct resistor on them

Everything is heat sensitive, put enough heat to get them on and off . . . don't rest the iron on the board.

99-02 have the push locks on the cluster, all others are soldered on (A/C, radio, windows . . . all)
03 and up are 100% soldered on connections on all locations

I understand kinda where he's coming from since most of the people lately who have asked me stupid questions in PM's are from the valley, but that doesn't mean that people from the valley are stupid lol. There's just a ton of them on here now because LSx trucks have picked up so fast down there it's crazy.
