Who here leaves negative reviews online??

I've got a huge issue with a tire shop locally that is owned, ran by and turns out nothing but trash.
I know a lot of the time there's a thousand pleased customers and a handful of unhappy ones. I've done business here for a long time and it's always the same story. Sure, there's some people around here that will only use this one shop, love the owner etc etc... But the dude's a fake.
Anyway, I feel compelled to go on Yelp, yellowpages, google etc and leave a bad review of this place after my latest terrible experience. Just wondering who has done the same.
Next step is the CoC and BBB....

being someone who runs a business im mixed on them. a truly bad shop is one thing, but you have to remember that everyone who is looking for a new shop reads that. if it was one employee who could be fired the next day or a misunderstanding then dont tarnish the name. if the owner shows no care and its an ongoing issue thats understandable.
i have a couple reviews on my shop. one being someone who asked for a used transmission and was told it was used and could have problems complain that they had a leak and we didnt give them the warranty we said etc etc. which isnt true in any way.
another is a van that a manager we used to have was in charge of. it had a wiring issue outside the transmission we couldnt find that caused many issues with the vehicle not just the transmission. now because a man that will never work for us again treated a customer poorly we have a bad record.
also keep in mind that people who are very happy with their work will not go and say good things after spending money fixing a car that they really didnt want to spend money on in the first place. so its very biased in only angry people show up. and no shop will please everyone ever.
sorry but just a rant out of frustration

I rarely leave bad reviews. the last time I did was for a restaurant. Server had an attitude, I sent all the food back (which I have done exactly 3 times in my life, ever) got a shitty attitude, ignored, and the manager blindly defended the server and dismissed any possibility of what we were saying.
It takes a lot for me to get to the point where I will leave a bad review. As the owner/operator of one business, and the manager of another, I know how they can affect you.
With that being said, if you're on the verge of making a legitimate claim to the BBB, I wouldn't hesitate to leave a bad review.
I will tell you, when I look at reviews online, i automatically dismiss the hateful, babbling reviews. Be cordial, explain the situation and be done.

To answer your question. If the owner doesn't handle business the way he should i would report to BBB. Get a second unbiased opinion though to make sure you're not being irrational.

It's definitely the owner and the manager thats the root of every issue I have had.
Not to mention their alignment tech STUNK!!! Of alcohol at 7am. Fresh, not left over from the night before. I wouldn't allow him to road test my truck which caused all sorts of other issues.
I have never left a bad review online for a business but have left lots of good ones. I try not to be the customer who lets great work and service go unheard. I just feel deep down that due to the consistency of their terrible work, personnel and outright lies something should be said publicly.

Jeremy, I'll definitely hit you up in the future.
This last particular instance was a sublet though the dealership I bought a set of tires through for my company vehicle. I had no idea that's where the truck was going until it was already there. I've already contacted the dealership (my former boss) and he has already told me that he will help me out however he can, including replacing tires or sending it to another shop at no cost to me.

Yeah it sounds like you can save someone else a headache by posting a review. I try to sound as humane as possible and be very detailed so people don't rule you off as a ex employee like discussed earlier. Is the shop a BBB company? I know some small ones aren't.
I had a problem with Conn's and I went as high up as I could. It went all the way up to someone in corporate I forget their position. Basically I would talk to someone and they didn't want to help so i went to next in command. I also notified BBB and that got the ball rolling. All they basically did was apologize and give me a $100 gift card for my troubles. It wasnt worth the phone calls that I had to make but there wasnt really more that I can do.

I'm not looking for any sort of compensation for any of it. All I want is my truck to be right. I drove it about 300 miles today and it pissed me off the entire time. The owner of the company was standing there when I was questioning the manager about the work and quickly hauled *** to his office and shut the door as soon as I started asking the questions that they couldnt answer. Thats complete chicken **** IMO. On top of not being able to answer my question and take care of the problem (which is an extremely simple fix), he left his manager out to dry and went and hid. Complete crap...
