What jack do you use?
My old Craftsman jack finally died on me, and now I am in need a good jack. I would like an aluminum jack as long as it will be sturdy (no 1.5 ton for me), but a steel one would work just as good for my uses.
I'm thinking about getting a 3 ton from harbor freight or something. What do you use?
(ps I know there is a tools section, but it takes you to the Tech side, and I am wanting to keep this on PT because I'm lifting a truck, not an F-body )

I got an old craftsman too. My truck is so low in the front I have to pick it up myself or get a good bounce going, then slide in the jack on the high bounce.

I had a car like that. A car I used to race. I had a low profile jack and had to remove the pad on top of it, then still had to pick up a little on the car and shove it under there.

My 97 was like that. I cut a couple of pieces of 2x4's to drive up on to get the air dam high enough to clear. I have an old 3 ton Craftsman SUV jack. It will hit the frame on my Z71 in two pumps, then it works like a regular floor jack.
