That reminds me . My brother Old school here took out and old wore out 400 small block and put a 350 in and a guy said there is a lot more room in there now with that 400 gone.

 

I moved up north and kept having a guy refer to my truck as junk because it was loud. He descided he was going to show me up one day and he drove his HOTROD saturn to work. We lined up at a light after work, with half the company behind us watching. He was rather freaked when I hit second gear and pulled side ways. Looked like his car was broke, I pulled away so hard. After that, nobody bothered me there about that truck.

 

I've got 2 of them.

When i first got the and had my flowmaster exahust put on. I pulled up to a gas station and started pumping gas.

Some old guy: "hey, thats nice, you got a V6 or V8 in that thing?"
me: "Its got a 5cylinder"
old guy: (gives me a "you dont know what you're talking about" look) 5cylinder?? are you sure its not a V6?
me: yes!

^ that has happened maybe 6-7 times now.

A year back or so at the track w/ my hood popped for tech inspection. Some guy walks up to see whats under my hood

him- "hey nice truck, whats do you have in it?"
me- "its a 5cylinder"
him- really?? thats weird, did it come that way?
me- yeah it did.(while thinking "no, actually it had a bitchin 5.3, but i junked in favor of an NA volvo motor)

 

i was kinda like wtf at first when i first heard 5 cyl myself

 

LOL This is one of my favorites.
I do have to say being around several now, STS guys get the dumbest questions.

 

I've had some high school kid ask me if my N20 lines were a supercharger or a turbocharger.

Also had some old guys at the track argue if it was a 305 or 350...then one of their friends came by and said it was a fuel injected 327 small block. They also warned me that N20 would eat a hole in my piston over time.

A buddy of mine said guys who see his n20 bottle ask if the car has nitro. Answer, yes it runs on top fuel.
