What is the dumbest question someone asked about your truck?
 

Saw a thread in ls1tech with this question and there were some fun responses.
so ill start

My neighbor comes over one day when im cleaning my truck and starts looking it over walking around it then asks
neighbor: What make is it?
me: its a chevy
neighbor: oh is it one of those new colorados?
me: no its a silverado 1500
he then tells me about his powerful f150 and how amazing it is, then tells me he just bought a tornado for it. he then tried to persuade me into buying one, because it really changed how the throttle feels on his truck:nono:

ex-girlfriend: "why do you like that fucking truck so much?" i didn't answer.

Heck yeah, i bought two! now i can beat his truck in a race!

we actually had a thread like this a while back. But can't remember a key word to revive it.

I get asked what happened to my truck. When I say the TQ converter took out the trans they just look at me with a blank look and say.. oh. So your transmission is messed up?

After a pass at the track...Guy approaches me and says "isn't it amazing what a diesel can do?" Me - Excuse me sir.....you talking about my truck? It runs on pump gasoline. Guy (as he is looking under my hood) - Ha, nice try...I know the sound of a diesel when I hear one. To this day, I am not sue if he was serious or just joking.

OMG.. ask anyone that knows him... but that sounds EXACTLY like something my dad would do.

me- 4.8
guy- oh a 350
me- no a 294
guy- oh man you need to get the top stuff off of a 350 and put with the bottom of that 305 (??) and then you will have a 350 and be able to beat me
me- (closes hood and walks away)

I've been asked a few times: Does it have a chip in it?

"You got a Chip?"

"Where is the turbo?"

"Whats that whistling noise?"

"What kinda air box is that?"

"why is the turbo in the back?"

"How does that work?"

"That's stupid" (Me: Wanna race?)

"You have Nawwz?" (me: Na, i just like purging the air out of my turbo)

I have a guy at work that asks me, "how much that thing putting down" on a frequent basis. I tell him and yet he asks me again a month later.

Well, come to think of it, I had 4 different engines and 2 different power adders + NA in 2 years time.:D
