You do understand that if you can manage to remove the platinum, rhodium, and palladium from the cats you can make a LOT more money, right?

Rhodium just hit a record $9800 per ounce.

I'll be PISSED if someone cuts my cats out! I spent several hours with a hammer and a long rod hollowing them out!

I don't really know but I would guess that the processes needed to extract the precious metals from the cats isn't something that just anyone can do and is probably very costly in it's self. I just don't think it is feasible for an individual to try this as these metals that are applied to the ceramic honeycomb are microscopic and put on with special processes that I'm sure won't make it easy to extract them and separate.

I have a guy that comes around once a month & buys all my old cats & radiators, etc. I usually get $300 to $500 cash.

Sweet... I have an old radiator and an old heavy *** window AC unit to get rid of too, just need to find the best place to take them...
