While I was unloading a move truck the other day, a customer was unloading his tahoe full of rifles. Literally 20 mins later he was still unloading. I asked him if he knew something that I didn't lol, he said he was a collector and had like 60 rifles pre 1950.

All I know is this rifle feels SOLID. Just cycling the bolt feels awesome, can't wait to actually shoot this thing. From what I've been reading, it should kick like a SOB, but since I put the composite stock with rubber butt on it, it shouldn't be quite so bad anymore.
BTW, this rifle was made in 1933

what is that abomination of a stock? You do know that in the original stock they work very well....I mean they did kick some serious **** ***. Every one of those rifles was used in the war. There weren't enough to go around. If you haven't seen it, watch "enemy at the gates" and you'll get an inkling of what I'm saying.

yeah but just because they're a bargain doesn't little their improtance in the history of the gun. Remember, the Mosin 1891 and the 7.62x54r was the FIRST rifle to fire a smokeless cartridge.
