If the performance scene is important to you, Texas is the mecca of street cars. Just as strong of a car scene as Cali with less **** aftermarket laws. Texas is pretty hard to beat all around, I lived in Alabama for a year and that area of the country doesn't have **** on Texas. Nevermind the fact that we have the strongest economy in the US. Just my opinion, your results may vary.

Jeez, I'm a native NYer, lived in Cali for 2 major quakes, and make it through a few tropical depressions with epic flooding, and one 100+ mph hurricane and didn't leave my home in Alvin Texas . Would ya please grow a set, and tell me what is so bad? Not to mention NO STATE INCOME TAX.

How? Especially in reference to GA. Both states have hurricanes, both have hot weather, just depends on exactly what part of the state youre living in since it is a big state. Right by the coast there is a lot of humidity and is comparable to most other coastal states. Central Texas like I live in has less humidity, hurricanes are just tropical storms by the time they make it here, gets a little hotter than the coast but less humidity, dont have to worry about the snow like north Texas. North Texas has even less humidity and in general has better weather than the rest of Texas with the exception of during the winter where they get some snow and sleet but otherwise is pretty good.
If you can handle the heat Texas isnt bad, personally I kinda like being able to walk around in shorts for 10 months out of the year
